Deadly Attack Leaves Thailand Grieving as Authorities Examine Gun Access
This is believed to be the most deadly massacre recorded in Thailand since 2022 when a teenage boy committed murder of his grandparents followed by shooting at Debsirin Nonthaburi School in the Nonthaburi Province near Bangkok, killing five teachers and injuring 15 to 23 people. The teenager used his grandfather's weapon to shoot at least 26 bullets inside a school of 3,100 students causing panic among those attending to the injured. The event has brought about the pre-existing issue of guns in Thailand that has the largest number of civilians owning guns in the region.
